Quotes from today

Late this afternoon and early this evening I listened to a lot of loud, "angry-to-some," head-banging music, and also watched a movie called "A Lot Like Love." I really liked a particular quote from the movie, said to the character played by Ashton Kutcher.

"This is your life... right now. It doesn't wait for you to get back on your feet."

During my time of listening to music (that I'm not so sure my neighbors appreciated), I listened to one of my favorite CDs of all time, TOOL's "Aenima." It's hard to pick a favorite track on this CD, but I think mine would have to be track #2, "Eulogy." It's a LONG song, and long songs usually lose my interest after about 4 1/2 minutes or so... but this one keeps it. Maybe because about 6 minutes in it has the following lyrics that I can relate to, and that make me feel something deep down inside. (As I find myself singing along emphatically...)

"... Someone who's here to feel the same, someone prepared to lead the way, and someone who would die for me. Will you? Will you now? Would you die for me? Don't you fucking lie!!!..."

I think I'll put this CD on again and do a little vacuuming and such... I'm feeling motivated.
