OK, so here's the last two pictures from the Sex Expo. (Seems I have too many for one blog.)

Sex Expo - Denver

I

Today I went to the Sex Expo at the Colorado Convention Center with my friend Rob, and his girlfriend Karen (who showed up later on). Rob and I went early afternoon to get a jump on things. The first word that came to my mind when we arrived, and when I started driving home was... WOW!

Explanation of the pictures. hee hee
Top: Me and Rubberella, "Fetish Queen of an Indigent World."
2nd Down: Me and ?
3rd Down: Me and Bare Assets Dancer (I think her "name" is Kiki), after I just got a dance and spanked her.
4th Down: Rob, Me, and Bare Assets Dancer (I think her "name" is Princess).

I was on sensory overload for about 4 1/2 hours or so at this place. Good Lord. I still have a silly ass grin on my face... I'm so glad I went. I haven't done anything this "out of the norm" in years I'm thinkin', and I needed it! How much fun I had... going to Denver and hanging out with Rob, then with Rob and Karen for a bit once she got there was a total blast!

I develped a little liking for one of the Bare Asset male dancers, "Sin,"while I was at the show. I spent a little time talking with him, which was cool. The pictures I took of him sucked, but I do have the striptease he did with "Iceman" as an .wmv! I know, I'm a dork.

VENTING!

Rude, Arrogant People who Don't Use Common Sense, etc. Annoy Me... ARGH!

Traits of said "people:"

Arrogance (NOT the same as healthy self-confidence.)
Rudeness (Do you know HOW to say "Please" and / or "Thank You?" Do you find it THAT necessary to interrupt a conversation to ask a question... can you not wait a minute for your turn? Do you like to cut people off mid-sentence / thought? Or, are you really just that rude?)
Lacking Common Sense (I digress... no specific example will be given.)
Lack of Loyalty
Embracing the "Me Syndrome" (It's all about me, me, me... and that's ALWAYS the motivation behind anything.)
Seeking "Social Popularity" (Are we still in High School? I sure hope not!!!)
Immaturity (Usually related to age, but not always... shows itself in many unattractive ways.)

New Bed!

My new bed frame has arrived and was my project for this morning... building it and getting my room back in order. I feel like such a grownup now... I have a "real" bed frame... complete with headboard AND footboard! Not just a rusty, old frame that holds up my boxspring and mattress that I believe belonged to my Grandparents once upon a time!

My bedroom walls are all painted black (eggshell finish), so the headboard isn't all that visible, but the footboard is... and it contrasts nicely with my white and off-white bed linens. (As you can see in the before and after photos...) I love it!

RIP Chance (Aug. 2004 - Feb. 17, 2006)

My dear rattie boy, Chance, passed away sometime late this afternoon or early this evening. (I checked on him when I came home for lunch, so he passed somewhere between 2pm and when I got home from dinner after work at about 7:30pm.) Another little piece of my heart has been taken away, and I'm a grieving mess. Now I have to wrap him up nice an cozy and somehow get up the strength to say goodbye and put him in the freezer until I can take his body to my Vet first thing tomorrow morning. I wish he could have beaten his illness... instead, it beat him.

This is awful... I write this in tears and undeniable sadness.

Bye, bye my friend... have fun at "the Rainbow Bridge."

Another sick rattie :*(

This is my most cuddly, friendly boy rattie, Chance. He's about a year and a half old, and I rescued him from the Humane Society a year ago next month. He started having trouble breathing suddenly, none of the usual symptoms of sneezing, wheezing, etc. first, and then was walking on three legs, with one up in the air... with the foot and leg swollen and purple. ACK!

First thing Tuesday morning, off to Dr. Bock we went. An examination, two injections, two X-rays, and $200 later, he gets to come home. Poor little guy has a serious Upper Respiratory Infection (OH NO, NOT THIS AGAIN!!!???), and Cellulitis of his foot / leg. I will be giving him antibiotics 2x / day and an anti-inflammatory 1x/ day for the next two weeks. He was being stubborn at first, so I had to force-feed the meds, but now he's taking them with a mixture of bananas and apple baby food with a couple drops of vanilla syrup mixed in. Hey, whatever works!! It's his taste buds, not mine.

His foot is looking normal again, and he's walking on it too... WHEW! Now I just have to keep a close eye on his breathing, and make sure his lungs are improving. So... he's bunking with me, away from the others, with my vaporizor running 24/7. I sure hope he bounces back and is OK! I don't want another situation like I had with George... that was terrible and heart wrenching. I am thinking positive thoughts and I'm working on the whole Faith thing too.
